North Livermore Baptist Church was established in 1793 and has been proclaiming the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ for over 225 years. A proud member of American Baptist Churches of Maine, we believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the fellowship of the believers, the inspired Word of God, and reaching out to the community and the world with the good news that Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost, lonely, and helpless and bring them joy and abundant life.
Our worship is a nice mix of contemporary and traditional. Our church family is warm, welcoming, and always ready to help in times of need. If you are looking for a church home, a place to raise your family in the "nurture and admonition of the Lord," then give us a try. We will welcome you gladly . We are a growing congregation with a strong missions emphasis and a great Sunday School staffed by a group of caring teachers. See you Sunday!
Our Church Covenant
Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour; and having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; we do now in the presence of God, and these people, enter into covenant with one another.
Believing that the Holy Scriptures were given by inspiration of God and that Christian freedom requires that they be interpreted by individual judgment, we covenant together to accept the Bible as our Supreme standard of faith and practice.
We covenant to walk together in Christian love, to pray for one another, to be Christian in all our various relationships, being slow to take offense and always ready to forgive and be reconciled with one another.
By the assistance of God's spirit, we will seek to become informed, mature Christians by using our time, strength and abilities for the glory of God and the good of our fellow-men. We will teach our children the Christian truths and maintain a spirit of Christian love and devotion in our homes.
Realizing that the success of each church depends on the consecration of its individual member, we covenant together to worship and study regularly in the fellowship of the church, to contribute according to our means for the support of the local church and its worldwide mission, and to work together to maintain its peace and harmony. And if we move from this place, we will unite with some other church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant.
God being our Helper, we will seek to fulfill to His Glory all the privileges and responsibilities set forth in this church covenant.
